As a modeler for the game, “Meltdown”, I'm going to share some of the tasks I have worked on and also go over my team's process in the third sprint. This will include sprint kickoff and the work I did and didn’t complete, as well as some of the things that went right and wrong.

In the game meltdown, I am the level designer as well as the 3D modeler. So far, the process is going how I would expect it to go. It has gone smoothly so far but I think for future sprints, the number of cards completed will go up a bit, but it depends on what needs to be done.

For the 3rd Sprint, I had a total of 11 points completed. When I compare this sprint to the previous sprint, I gave myself less time to complete the cards that I wanted to get to, although I did miss one card, I was able to finish enough work for the sprint to get where I wanted to be.

The first card that I completed was a model of a coal powerplant and this will be used as the main environment background if that's the right way to put it. Anyways, I didn’t want this to be too complex, but I wanted it to look like it was meant to be in a mobile game so basically kind of cartoonish.

The second card that I completed was another generator which is going to be a Dutch windmill. For this model I wanted something simple for the game but nothing too simple. I don’t have the UV’s yet for the model, but I believe I plan on doing UVs and textures at the end because that is when it matters the most.

The third card that was another model and this is going to be a cooling system which will be a representation of the cooldown the player is going to have in the game when it comes to buying items.

The fourth card that I finished was another model of a power breaker.

The last and final card was a script and this script made it so when the player purchases a generator, an image would pop up at the top of the screen so the player can track which generators they have bought.

When it comes to issues, I think the only real issue this sprint was rushing the cards in the last week which is something I should never be doing. I need to find ways to track my time spent on other tasks like work and schoolwork.

For this sprint and my previous sprint my work has been really consistent when it comes to points and my goal is to get 14+ points which I know I can do if I split up my cards for the two weeks.

In conclusion, my journey as the level designer and 3d modeler for the game “Meltdown” has been great so far. I’ve had the opportunity to work with my team, Andrew and James, who as I have mentioned have done a great job to make the game work.
