As a modeler for the game, “Meltdown”, I'm going to share some of the tasks I have worked on and also go over my team's process in the second sprint. This will include sprint kickoff and the work I did and didn’t complete.

In the game meltdown, I am the level designer as well as the 3D modeler. So far, the process is going how I would expect it to go. It has gone smoothly so far but I think for future sprints, the number of cards completed will go up a bit.

For the 2nd Sprint, I had a total of 11 points completed. When I compare this sprint to the previous sprint, I gave myself more time to complete the cards that I wanted to get to, although I did miss some cards. In total I was able to compete 5 cards equaling 11 points as mentioned.

The first card that I completed was bike model which is going to be used as a generator. This model also includes a battery model along with some jumper cables which may or may not have some visual effects if there is time to do so. What I mean by this is maybe adding some visual effects on the wires to make it look like electricity is going through.

The second card that I completed was another generator which is going to be a waterwheel. For this model I wanted something that stood out but nothing too complex since it this is going to be a mobile game. This model included UV’s as well so I can have some textures to import into unity.

The third card that I completed was script that was made to make it so I can either close a popup with a button or the popup would fadeaway after a certain number of seconds in which it will be 15 seconds.

The fourth card that I finished was another script to make an object sway left and right nothing that was too extreme. This script was designed for the 3 icons I made in the previous sprint, and this is to always have some ambient moment happening at all times.

The last and final card was another 3D model of an electronic control panel. This control panel is going to be used as sort of a backdrop or just a background for the game.

When it comes to issues, I think the only real issue was not completing all the cards but that's okay. As a team, I think my team did a great job on communication. For example, we always let each other know when we were going to push, that way we knew when to pull so it wouldn’t mess up the project.

The two cards that I didn’t finish was a detailed representation of the shop page which is going to show all the items the player will be able to purchase. That is the card that is in progress at the moment. The second card that is still in assigned is some sort of imagery at the top of the screen which will be meant to show which generator’s I have built so that there is some form of indicator of the progress other than just buttons.

Despite the cards that I didn’t complete this sprint, I feel like I can do a much better job on this third sprint and hopefully complete 14+ points.

In conclusion, my journey as the level designer and 3d modeler for the game “Meltdown” has been smooth so far. I’ve had the opportunity to work with my team, Andrew and James, who have done lots of work to make the game work, so I give big props to them for the making of our game “Meltdown”.
